About Us

Chad Mason is a veteran of the Marine Corps and has obtained qualifications in the following areas:

Builder, Brick Paver Installer/Certification, Computer Automated Drafted Certification, Obstacle Course Designer, Certified Personal Trainer & Nutritionist, Event Planner, and Event Director.

Chad developed his love for personal training while serving in the Marines. Upon completion of his duties he

started his first business, MGM Landscaping, where he served as president for 12 years (1997-2008). In 2008, Chad made a career move that took him to the cooperate world, becoming project manager for an engineering group, a position he held through 2021. Concurrently, he started ABF Mud Run and ABF Mud Run Training Camps in 2010.

By 2010, Chad had completed numerous obstacle courses over a span of 25 years and started to train numerous individuals on how live a better quality of life despite serious physical limitations or mental blocks that prevented them from achieving their goals in life. The next step was convincing his trainees from the ABF Training Camps to join him in his venture to create obstacles courses around the globe.

Chad combined his passion for fitness, obstacle courses, and helping charities to spawn this

vision of the first ABF Mud Run in the fall of 2010. Through his efforts, ABF Mud Runs raised money for local charities such as Hero Network, YMCA Camp Ockanickon, Restore The Shore Projects, Homes for Our Troops, CHOP, Wish Upon A Hero, OHEL Chilren’s Home and Family Services, Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Indian Reservation, and several others along this journey.

From 2010 through 2021, ABF Mud Run had the privilege of working with several charities throughout N.J., Pa., N.Y., R.I., Ala., Tex., Fla., Costa Rica and Honduras, creating and inspiring physical fitness and awareness leadership programs for our future leaders.

On a leap of faith – in November 2021 – Black Label Landscape and Hardscape Contractors was

started. Black Label Landscape focuses on personalized landscaping, hardscaping, and

obstacle course construction around the globe. We have the needed equipment and are available 24/7 for all your Landscaping or Hardscaping needs.
